Newest Family Addition:
Triton is no longer an only dog! He has a new sister, Maddie. The really neat part of the story is that Maddie is actually Diva's sister! Her sister separated by a litter or two...same parents! Oddly enough, Maddie looks a lot like Diva when she was a pup. She has a similar chest mark and facial markings. Very oddly, she was the only surviving pup in her litter. The breeder happen to call to see if my brother and sister-in-law might be interested in her around the time of Diva's passing. It was truly meant to be! (Photos to come.)

Today, July 3rd 2009, Diva went to be with Skoo (and Lucy) after a 3-week-plus fight for her life. No grand conclusion was ever determined as to an exact cause, though autopsies and tests were done. She did suffer from an unfortunate battle of an infection from three pieces of a bone lodged in her intestines (*1) and stomach (*2). She endured at least nine antibiotics, scores of other medications for the other problems, shots, exploratory surgery (which reveled the bone fragments and that she didn't have any tumors). I was so glad to get to see her yesterday afternoon. She wagged her tail just a bit and kept pawing me as if to say, It's OK and I was trying to reassure her. She was truly one of the sweetest dogs I've known.
Her mommy said she thought that Diva was an angel sent to her to help her through the loss of her grandfather.
See the angel on her chest. I don't doubt that she was an angel from heaven! It's just so sad that she had to leave so suddenly. Her passing is all too soon at the age of only 1-1/2 years and so soon after Skoo proceeded her. She was a special girl and we will miss her dearly!

Triton was now an only child. The first time he was an only dog. My "middle" niece calls him "proud."
I hope he remains so. I know he is proud of his little sister Diva and wonderful play mate. Wishing I had taken some video of them playing. They were rough and tumble!

Feb. 7th, 2009

Skoo got his wings today. I know his sister,
Lucy, a large German Shepard, is licking
his face and welcoming him.

We miss him dearly, as well as Lucy...especially his human best friend and daddy, Tim! But, we are all so thankful
to have known this special boy and Lucy for so very long! We love you!

Triton and Maddie

Our Texas niece, Abby -
This is what happens when
you cross a dog with a bat.
Just kidding!
She's the sweetest little girl!

Leslie and Doug’s Furry Family...We miss them so!

RoxieOur sweet little girl passed away in September 2007. She talked to us like a human and had conversations with us all the time. She alerted us to a car break-in the second night she was with us — at six-weeks! She had six beautiful babies! We kept two of the boys! We miss you Roxanna!

Tipper
One of Roxie's six pups. He was such a happy, happy boy!
He was so very special, adapting very well to
being blind from cataracts. He liked to play
dress-up!And loved toys that "sang" so he
could hear them to find them. He always had a smile! Even through the two kinds of cancer he got that eventually would take him from us on October 19, 2011. He also loved oranges and other fruits.

RomeoAnother one of Roxie's pups. He could have been a show dog he was so handsome! He and Roxie were inseparable. He loved to stand guard over his domain and play "Where’s Romeo.“ Romeo and Remmy became good buds the last several years of their lives. Unfortunately he had mast cell tumors, which called for him to go to Roxie on Memorial Day, 2011. It was so quiet after he left.

                                               Remmy
The pups’ Dad. He took on our previous dog (also a miniature Schnauzer) Garfy’s place of being Daddy’s boy. He is always by our side and can’t wait to go to the studio with Daddy! He loves to watch TV! When Romeo passed, Remmy never left the bed in the front room where we let Romeo go to heaven. He would only go outside, eat and sleep or lay in that bed.. It took him a long time to be a little happy again. He had kidney problems, but made it to 14 in July this year! But when Tipper started getting worse after the second cancer showed up, I think Remmy didn't want to be the only one. I was sure counting on him to be around for a while! But he joined Roxie and Romeo alomng with Tipper on October 19th.

Losing one is hard ehough, but two on the same day ... and the
three in 5 months ...our hearts are truely lost and heavy with loss and lonliness.

We were emensely Blessed!

Thank God we will be with them again one day.

Kit the Grey Kitty is still with us!
She's a feral cat that was born
under our house. With a lot of
patience and TLC, she has
become very domesticated,
but still with a wild side.

She would rather play and be
petted than eat. We think she
“holds it” until she gets inside to her litter box, now that
she’s trained. She comes when we call her or to the sound of a bell my husband trained her to do, for food, when she was younger.
